Concrete Grinding

Helping you lay the foundation of your resurfacing project down right, so you don't have to worry about it.

CONCRETE GRINDING CAN BE USED TO PREPARE THE SURFACE OR AS A COMPLETE SYSTEM ALL ON ITS OWN!

Whether you need your surface to be coated or you plan on applying different solutions like VCT, tile, or wood flooring to it, preparation is key. Our job at Colorado Concrete Repair is to make the whole process as easy and as smooth as possible for you. Concrete grinding is our specialty, but there are other ways to prepare a surface for coatings or other flooring systems.

What is Concrete Grinding?

Concrete grinding and surface preparation are the foundation to any concrete resurfacing project. In order to help the new coating become one with the surface, concrete’s pores need to be opened and any current coatings, adhesives or contaminants such as grease, grime and dirt, have to be removed.

This ensures the success of your project right from the start. Fewer headaches, less time wasted and your budget well invested.

The Colorado Concrete Repair Advantage

As a family-owned business, we value communication, transparency, and respect. Having your project go smoothly and satisfying your specific needs is our priority. This is why we will sit with you personally and discuss every little detail about the result you want to achieve. An exceptional concrete preparation project starts with listening to our clients and continues with us at your side, every step of the way, as your trusted advisors.

The Process

There are two main methods we can use to prepare the surface or smooth out the concrete. We will choose the right fit for your specific needs accordingly, after our initial meeting.

Shotblasting: this leveling method uses a machine projecting a large number of small steel balls to remove the top layer of concrete. The residual dust is then conveyed into a containment system.

Concrete grinding: this method utilizes diamonds to sand the top layer of concrete off. Any residue is then collected into a dust containment system.  Grinding has several advantages over Shotblasting including lower noise level and the capability of providing a great end result on all kinds of surfaces.
