WAREHOUSE POLISHED CONCRETE FLOOR
Home Stars opened up its second location in Parker, Colorado, and chose to show off its fine collection of furniture with a polished concrete floor. We were happy to work alongside owner, Mark, and his general contractor, Bryan, to give them the floor that would stunningly show off their beautiful collection!
Polished concrete is a perfect choice for show rooms, such as a furniture show room. The main reason our client wanted polished concrete in the show room is to have it look both neutral and trendy. He wanted a floor that would show off his collection, yet still be pleasing to the eye.
Polished concrete is all the rage right now for commercial, industrial, and municipal facilities. It is relatively easy to maintain and lasts for years and years. It is designed to last 10 to 20+ years if it is maintained correctly. We even recommend our clients use a company, like Jon-Don, to get on a maintenance schedule to protect their new investment.
Mark opted for a traditional 800 grit polish for his show room. The 800 grit polish we quoted him also included flexible joint filler, so that the joints are easy to clean and look pleasing to the eye. He designed the area with bedroom alcoves on the sides, a staircase in the center, where you walk up to more inventory, and a big open room in the center, which was where we polished the concrete. We’re excited to see the final outcome because he and his team put so much work into the whole design: painting the walls, building walls, and putting in the electrical and plumbing.
